Location

We are located on the South Eastern edge of the Lake District, in an elevated position on the edge of a water filled quarry with magnificent views allaround.

Looking North we see the Lakeland hills, to the East we look across the water to Ingleborough and the Yorkshire Dales. West from the front of the property we ovelook Morecambe Bay Grange and the hills beyond. Local countryside and fields to the south.

Local Amentities

Over Kellet, the nearest village, is 1 mile away, with a Post

Office/Local Store & The Eagles Head Pub.

Carnforth has a selection of pubs, banks & take aways, petrol stations and 3 supermarkets, Tesco, Co-op and Booths.

Farm shop and excellent vintners at Tewitfield "Greenlands Farm" 10 mins away.

There is a Railway station with good connections.

There are a variety of pubs serving good food in the outlying villages, particularly worthy of note are Longlands at Tewitfield and the Redwell Inn.

Our House

Our unique upside down property has the living areas at ground level with bedrooms, main bathroom and utility room below carved out of the bedrock, the lounge has a rear wall of glass "fold a side" doors opening out onto the rear timber decked elevated verandah.

Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto the lower veranda which in turn leads down to a third level and the "hot tub".
